Born and bred in Northamptonshire I worked as a school teacher and in IT before directing my career towards Chinese Health systems and now my work is centred around offering Tai Chi, Daoyin Yangsheng Qigong
Gold Medal at Beijing Sports University
In 2010 I attended the 10th International Health Qigong Conference at Beijing Sports University with other members of the English Daoyin Yangsheng Gong Association.
We were persuaded to enter the competition on the last day and returned with a gold medal for our team event.
I also achieved my 4th Duan Instructors certificate (Daoyin Yangsheng Gong) as part of this trip.
Longfei Taijiquan Association
I am an instructor member of the Longfei Taijiquan Association and a certified instructor of Daoyin Yangsheng Gong.

Li Tianji’s Birthday Celebrations in Beijing & another Gold Medal
In 2015 I attended the Celebrations of Li Tianji’s 100th Birthday.
This great event was meticulously organised by his nephew Li Deyin and it was a wonderful opportunity to experience the wider Longfei global community coming together to show their respect for the Longfei founder.
I was also awarded gold again as part of the Longfei UK team.
Tui Na (Chinese Therapeutic Massage)
June 2013 saw me completing my Tui Na course at Shulan College and passing the exams with flying colours.
As I wind down my acupuncture practice I have decided not to renew my membership of the British Acupuncture Council. Nevertheless I will maintain the same standards of professional care that have allowed me to maintain that membership for the 20 years or so of my time in acupuncture.
Acupuncture at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine
I studied acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and graduated in 1999.
2019 Daoyin Yansheng Seminar, Beijing Sport University
In 2019 I travelled to Beijing with a group experienced teachers lead by Simon Watson to pay our respects to Zhang Guande, the founder of our system, and to train with Hu Xiao Fei, the director of the Daoyin Centre at Beijing Sport University.
A great opportunity to deepen our understanding and interpretation of these wonderful exercises.
